I'll Just Die . . .

"I'll just die," she says,
"If he doesn't answer pretty soon."
Lovesick, she checks, re-checks her phone,
Sure she'll perish if he won't reply.

"I'd die for you," he says—
Husband, father, protector, friend.
He's strong and brave, but hoping still
It will never have to come to that.

Do they know anything of love?
Passion tore the Savior's heart.
"I'd rather die," He said,
"Than live without you." And He did.
